1. Overview

This Refund Policy outlines the terms and conditions for refunds of purchases made through AI Stylist ("Service"). We are committed to fair and transparent refund practices in compliance with international consumer protection laws.

Merchant of Record: All payments are processed by Polar (polar.sh), which acts as our Merchant of Record. Refunds are processed through Polar's payment system.

2. Digital Product Acknowledgment

By purchasing our Service, you acknowledge that:

  • AI Stylist provides a digital product (AI-generated style analysis report)
  • The digital product is delivered instantly upon successful payment
  • Due to the instant delivery nature of digital products, the right of withdrawal may be limited under applicable laws

Email Delivery Policy

Your report will be automatically sent to the email address you provide during checkout.

  • Please ensure your email address is entered correctly during the Polar checkout process
  • Reports are sent immediately after generation to the checkout email address
  • If you enter an incorrect email address, you will not receive your report via email, and this does NOT qualify for a refund
  • You can still view and save your report directly from the results page in your browser

3. Automatic Refund Guarantee

You are entitled to an automatic full refund in the following situations, processed without requiring a request:

  • Text Report Generation Failure: AI fails to generate your style analysis text report due to technical errors
  • Image Generation Failure: AI fails to generate your outfit recommendation images due to technical errors
  • Non-Delivery: Payment is processed but no report is delivered within 5 minutes
  • System Errors: Critical system errors prevent you from accessing the Service after payment
  • Duplicate Charges: You are charged multiple times for a single purchase

Important: When any generation failure occurs (text or image), your payment is automatically refunded without any action required from you. You will see a notification on screen confirming the automatic refund.

These automatic refunds are typically processed within 24-48 hours.

4. Refund Request Eligibility

4.1 Eligible for Refund (within 14 days for EU/EEA, 24 hours for others)

  • The generated report is significantly incomplete or corrupted
  • AI-generated images fail to load or display properly
  • Substantial technical issues prevent access to your report
  • The Service did not perform as described

4.2 EU/EEA Consumer Rights (Distance Selling)

Under EU consumer protection laws, you have a 14-day right of withdrawal from digital content purchases. However, by proceeding with purchase and receiving instant delivery, you:

  • Acknowledge that the digital content will be provided immediately
  • Expressly consent to waive your right of withdrawal once the content is delivered
  • Understand that once the AI analysis is generated, the withdrawal right is waived

If you do not consent to immediate delivery, please contact us before purchase.

5. Non-Refundable Situations

Refunds are generally NOT available for:

  • Subjective Dissatisfaction: Disagreement with AI-generated styling recommendations (as these are inherently subjective)
  • Change of Mind: Deciding you no longer want the service after receiving the report
  • User Error: Uploading inappropriate, low-quality, or unsuitable photos
  • Incorrect Email Address: Reports are automatically sent to the email address you provide during checkout. If you enter an incorrect email address and cannot receive your report, this does NOT qualify for a refund. Please ensure your email address is correct before completing your purchase.
  • Misunderstanding: Not understanding the nature of AI-generated content before purchase
  • Late Requests: Refund requests made after the applicable refund period
  • Abuse: Evidence of fraud, abuse, or manipulation of the refund system

6. How to Request a Refund

Step 2: Provide Required Information

  • Your order ID or checkout confirmation
  • Email address used for purchase
  • Date of purchase
  • Detailed description of the issue
  • Screenshots (if applicable)

Step 3: Review Process

  • We will acknowledge your request within 24 hours
  • Our team will review your case within 2-3 business days
  • You will receive a decision via email

7. Refund Processing

7.1 Processing Time

  • Approval: 2-3 business days for review
  • Processing: 3-5 business days after approval
  • Bank/Card Reflection: 5-10 business days depending on your payment provider

7.2 Refund Method

  • Refunds are issued to the original payment method used for purchase
  • Currency conversion fees (if any) are non-refundable and at the discretion of your bank
  • Refund amount will be the full purchase price ($3.99 USD)

8. Regional Consumer Rights

8.1 European Union / EEA

Under the EU Consumer Rights Directive (2011/83/EU), you have specific rights regarding digital content. By making a purchase, you consent to immediate performance and waive withdrawal rights upon delivery.

8.2 United Kingdom

Under the Consumer Rights Act 2015, digital content must be of satisfactory quality, fit for purpose, and as described. You have rights to a refund if the digital content is faulty.

8.3 United States

Refund rights vary by state. This policy applies uniformly, but additional state-specific rights may apply.

8.4 South Korea (대한민국)

전자상거래법에 따라 디지털 콘텐츠의 경우 즉시 제공 동의 시 청약철회가 제한될 수 있습니다. 서비스 하자 시 환불이 가능합니다.

8.5 Australia

Under Australian Consumer Law, you are entitled to a refund if goods or services have a major problem. AI-generated content must match its description.

9. Chargebacks and Disputes

If you believe you are entitled to a refund:

  • We aim to resolve all legitimate refund requests within 3 business days
  • Filing a chargeback without first contacting us may result in service ban

Fraudulent chargebacks may be challenged and reported to fraud prevention services.

10. Refund Abuse Prevention

To maintain fair service for all customers, we monitor for refund abuse. Abuse may result in:

  • Denial of future refund requests
  • Suspension of access to the Service
  • Legal action in cases of fraud
